Gremlins win KSAC title

Justin Ryan scored three goals and added an assist as the Karns City boys soccer team clinched the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference title with a 7-0 rout of Keystone Monday afternoon.

Andrew Johnston also scored a pair of goals for the Gremlins (12-1, 12-0), who sewed up the league championship for the eighth consecutive season.

Slippery Rock 3, Sharon 0 — Cole McCandless netted two goals and Mike Stutz the other to lead the Rockets.Slippery Rock (9-2, 3-1) will play at Conneaut Valley Wednesday.

Girls Soccer

Knoch 6, Freeport 0 — Melissa Spreng scored two goals in this shutout for the Knights.Also scoring for the Knights (13-0-2, 10-0-2) were Gabbi Lassinger, Olivia Sharbaugh, Danielle Sharbaugh and Krista Burdett.

Mars 10, Deer Lakes 0 — Mani Brueckner scored twice in this blowout win for the Planets (15-0-1, 11-0-1).Tallying one goal apiece were Kristen Check, Kristen McKenzie, Karli Paracca, Sabrina Edwards, Crysta Ganter, Olivia Haefner, Catlin Foltz and Paige Simakas.Jordyn White led a defense that did not allow a shot on goal.

Private SchoolsNoelle Garrison had seven service points, four kills and two blocks, but First Baptist Christian School fell 3-0 to Calvary Baptist Academy.Lauren Hughes and Emily Rowland each had an ace, while Hildi Burleigh tallied four assists and four kills.From staff reports
