NEW CASTLE — Police in Western Pennsylvania say a thief’s cell phone dimed him out when it dialed 911 during a burglary.

The burglary was at a garage in New Castle on Friday.

According to investigators, when 911 got the call, they heard male voices and a lot of noise and figured a burglary was in progress.

Dispatchers tracked the address and sent a police officer to the scene. The officer said he saw three men in a truck filled with metal and pulled them over.

The men were arrested and are facing charges of criminal conspiracy, burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and other counts.
