Gloria R. “Dody” McKain, 79, of Butler passed away Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

She was born Jan. 24, 1932, in West Sunbury, the daughter of the late Harold Lester McChesney and Carrie (Barger) McChesney.

She had worked at A-Plus Mini-Mart for many years. Dody enjoyed reading.

Surviving are her daughter, Leslie McKain of Butler; her sons, Kenneth (Butch) and his wife, Sue, Seaton of Butler, Keith (Kathy) McKain of Columbus, Ohio, Terry McKain of Butler, William (Sue) McKain of Colorado, Davey McKain of Butler and Douglas McKain of Butler; 15 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Augustine of Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Andrew McKain; a son, David McKain; a sister, Patricia Fisher and two brothers, Robert B. McChesney and Dick McChesney.
