PITTSBURGH — Investigators say the suspect in a fatal Western Pennsylvania shooting was arrested in an unrelated traffic stop after he gave the name of another wanted man.

Police in McKees Rocks stopped 32-year-old Jesse Lewis on Monday. Investigators say Lewis gave his name as Darrell Strong and was arrested because a man with that name was wanted on firearms and stolen property charges.

It wasn't until after he was fingerprinted that police learned the man's true identity. Lewis had been wanted for months in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Lakisha Robinson.

Robinson was fatally shot March 17 when a gunman fired into a group of women on Pittsburgh's North Side. The mother of two was hit in the chest and a second person suffered a graze wound.

It was not clear if Robinson had an attorney.

HARRISBURG — The state House of Representatives on Wednesday unanimously approved new rules to govern how coaches and parents handle concussions and traumatic brain injuries sustained by Pennsylvania student athletes, requiring coaches to remove students from games if they exhibit signs of such injuries.Under the bill, the departments of Health and Education would develop guidelines to limit when injured students would be allowed to return to the playing field, and an appropriate medical professional would have to sign off on the return.The Safety in Youth Sports Act proposal also would require coaches to undergo training and would give parents and student-athletes more information about the risks of brain injuries.Rep. Tim Briggs, D-Montgomery, who worked on the legislation for several years, said he hopes it will help prevent injuries that can be devastating and carry lifelong implications.
