The Slippery Rock University women’s soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Mercyhurst College Wednesday in a PSAC-West match that was shortened due to lightning.

The match was stopped at the 73:26 mark. NCAA rules state a game can be declared final if it reaches the 70-minute mark.

Lisa Rodgers stopped all five shots she faced in goal for SRU (3-2-2, 2-1-2).

Mercyhurst College defeated The Rock 3-0 in a PSAC-West game Wednesday.

SRU (1-7, 0-2) will look to snap its four-game losing streak Friday when it hosts Seton Hill University.
