Talbots top Tornado

Butler's Alexa Gray and Hampton's Amanda Spencer battle for a loose ball during the first half of Monday night's game. The Talbots scored a 3-0 win over the Tornado.

Karns City's Tucker Preston earned medalist honors by carding a 76 at the KSAC Megamatch Monday at Cross Creek.

Preston's performance helped the Gremlins tie Cranberry for second place with 353 points behind champion Venango Catholic (338).

At Saturday's Freeport Fall Fest, the Yellowjackets defeated Knoch 2-1 to win the championship.In the semifinals, Knoch had defeated Avonworth and Freeport dispatched Slippery Rock.

Corey Pizor and Gabe Baroffio each shot a 43 to lead Butler past North Hills 229-239.Zack Clark, Zach Foulke, Josh Tilko and Rich Camissa each had a 46 for the Golden Tornado.
