Slippery Rock High senior Jessica Bennett finished fifth overall with a time of 20 minutes, 52 seconds in the girls Class AA race at the Slippery Rock Invitational Saturday at Cooper's Lake Campground.

Bennett's previous best time at the challenging Slippery Rock course was 21:41 nearly two weeks ago.

General McLane captured the team title in Class AA with 160 points.

Caitlin Bungo of Sewickley Academy was the individual champion with a time of 20:12.

Butler 2, Kiski Area 1 — Macy Stalnaker scored both goals as Butler earned its first victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Kiski Area.The Golden Tornado (1-5) will host Hampton tonight.

Karns City 12, Keystone 0 — Breann Wood, Caterina LoPresti and Megan Hegedus each scored two goals to lead the Gremlins to the lopsided win.Erin McCue, Lacey Freiters, Emily LoPresti, Alyssa King, Kylie Laughery and Emily Olszak also found the back of the net for Karns City (5-0-1).
