Miriam Ruth (Walter) Pennington, 63, of Zelienople passed away Tuesday while under the care of St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Nov. 14, 1947, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ruth (Marsh) Walter.

Miriam was a lifelong and active member of English Lutheran Church, where she served on the church council and was involved with numerous committees.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Ruiz and her husband, David, of Sewickley; two sisters, Lisa Walter of Zelienople and Valerie Walter of Zelienople; and three precious grandchildren, Norah, Lucy and Harrison Ruiz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dwight Walter.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with Rev. Robert A. Keplinger officiating.
