Polly Ellen Conner
Polly Ellen Conner, 66, formerly of Saxonburg, passed away Friday while under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia at Cabot after a long illness.
Born Oct. 16, 1944, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Ellen “Penny” (Nichols) Ritts II.
Polly was a 1962 graduate of Knoch High School and a 1965 graduate of Clarion State College.
Before her marriage, she taught in Penn Township and later received an accounting degree from Butler County Community College.
She was a member of the North Main Street Church of God in Butler for many years.
She is survived by her son, T. Michael Conner Jr. of Connecticut; a grandson, Colin Patrick Conner of North Carolina; a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Whitehouse of Cranberry Township; her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Franz of Coraopolis; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Linda M. Ritts of Nebraska; a nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. W. Henry Ritts IV of Illinois; and many lifelong friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, the late William H. Ritts III.
<B>CONNER</B> — The family of Polly Ellen Conner, who died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, will welcome friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Chris Marshall officiating.
