Covenant Presby
A new series for the Seekers class begins Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.
The multipart DVD course titled “The New Testament” is taught by Professor Bart Ehrman of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Coffee, juice and a snack are available before class.
The “Top Ten List for Christians” by James W. Moore is the study topic for the People for Peace Bible study class, which resumes at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the assembly room.
Participants meet the first and third Wednesday of each month and are asked to take a bag lunch with them.

First Baptist of Butler
The Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Western Pennsylvania Ladies Missionary Fellowship is sponsoring the 2011 annual Ladies Fall Retreat at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp.
The retreat begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday and concludes after Saturday’s 2:15 p.m. session.
Sue Miller from Columbus, Ohio, will be speaking on the wrinkle-free woman.

Glade Run U.P.
Glade Run Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will be celebrating Senior Love and Appreciation Day Sunday.
Services will begin at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. with a reception from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. to honor and celebrate members 80 years old and older.
During both services, the 2011 Adult Mission Team will be commissioned. The Adult Mission Team will be traveling to the Montgomery, W.Va. to work with West Virginia Ministry of Advocacy and Workcamps.

Beginning Sunday, there will be only one Sunday worship service at 10:15 a.m. and Sunday School will begin at 9 a.m. at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St.
Saturday services will remain the same.
There will be a Sunday school open house at 9 a.m. Sunday for the new children’s Sunday school program.
