Edward J. Tomsey, 90, of Herman died Tuesday evening at the Saxony Health Care Center in Saxonburg.

He was born in Butler, April 15, 1921, a son of the late Joseph F. and Mary Mega Tomsey.

Ed was a nurseryman employed by Heasley's Nursery for 23 years.

He enjoyed gardening and was skilled in growing plants. He also loved to read.

Mr. Tomsey was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

He is survived by a brother, Joseph C. Tomsey Sr.; two sisters, Margaret E. Nebel and Agnes R. Tomsey, all of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and an infant brother and sister.

<B>TOMSEY</B> — Friends of Edward J. Tomsey, who died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, will be received at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.
