Elizabeth J. Kamerer
Elizabeth J. Kamerer, 91, of Butler passed away at 12:20 p.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1920, in Titusville, to the late Truman Dunkle and Nina Nixon Dunkle.
She was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder.
She was trained as a nurse, but devoted her life to her family.
Mrs. Kamerer golfed in many women's leagues at Armco Golf Club and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Kamerer is survived by five sons, John Kamerer of Gettysburg, Jim and his wife, Barbara, Kamerer of Butler, George and his wife, Pam, Kamerer of Greensburg, Tom and his wife, Anne, Kamerer of Butler and Dave and his wife, Mary Jane, Kamerer of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Rebecca Bayne of Butler; 12 grandchildren, Carrie, Anne, Susan, Stephanie, Jared, Sean, Duncan, Nolan, Zach, Chris, Tom and Sarah; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kamerer, who she married Aug. 7, 1941, and who passed away July 16, 1985; and one sister, Martha August.
<B>KAMERER</B> — Friends of Elizabeth J. Kamerer, who died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
