Rehanna Nicole Lydon

Rehanna

Rehanna Nicole Lydon, 11, of Renfrew passed away peacefully Monday in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born Sept. 4, 1999, in Butler, she was the precious daughter of Shawn E. and Marcia (Grise) Lydon of Renfrew.

A remarkable little girl who loved the color purple, Rehanna impacted and inspired so many lives and once you met her you were hooked. She had an infectious personality and had the gift of making others laugh and smile. She always put others before herself and in an attempt to return that act of selflessness, her family and friends began Rehanna's Warriors relay team for life.

She loved her friends and animals, especially horses. She was the proud owner of her horse, Prince Alex. She had the pleasure of riding with the sheriff's posse in the Horse Trading Days parade and taking Irish dance classes for many years.

Rehanna was a true fighter who took everything in stride and still continued to do the things she loved such as swimming, archery and picking berries in her back yard. She was a member of Girl Scout Troop 20518 and earned her bronze award by gathering collections with her troop at Children's Hospital this year. She was also an ambassador for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandfather, Roy Grise of Wilkinsburg; paternal grandmother, Diana Lydon of Wilkinsburg; two uncles, Ron Kramer Sr. and his wife, Kim, of Turtle Creek and Seth Lydon and his wife, Michelle, of Apollo; three aunts, Sara Zeff and her husband, Bob, of Leechburg, Suzie George and her husband, Mike, of Pittsburgh and Stephanie Lydon and her fiance, Lee Caton, of Wilkinsburg; two loving sisters, Victoria Lydon and Makenna Lydon, both of Renfrew; nine cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, the late Elizabeth “Betty” Grise, and paternal grandfather, the late Richard Lydon.
