Music for Medicine comes to Succop

The Music for Medicine concert to benefit the Community Health Clinic will take place Sept. 10 in the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

The Trinity Jazz orchestra with vocalist Adam Brock will present a program of the classic and popular big band numbers, with original arrangements by Glenn Miller and Cab Calloway, among others.

Trinity Jazz is billed as the region’s only professional big band repertoire group. The orchestra has shared the stage with many nationally known jazz artists, and recently appeared with the Count Basie Orchestra. Trinity Jazz has been a popular feature of the previous two Music for Medicine concerts.

The group’s musical library includes the original arrangements of big band music by Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and Woody Herman.

Brock works as creative arts director at Central Assembly of God in Houston, Washington County, while continuing his career as soloist.

Brock has been performing with Trinity Jazz for two years.

General admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. VIP tickets are $50 and include special seating and a reception following the performance.

Call the theater box office at 724-284-8505.
