SAXONBURG — Musical, visual and performing artists alike will be part of the Saxonburg Festival of the Arts taking place Sept. 10 and 11.

“The reason that we have the festival is to celebrate the artists we have in the Saxonburg area, not just performing artists but painters and crafters ... we celebrate the people who do the artwork,” said festival Chairman Dennis Chambers.

One new event this year is a talk by Clifford Zink, author of “The Roebling Legacy.” He will be discussing his book and signing it both days of the festival.

Another notable event will be the visit from representatives and the mayor of Saxonburg's sister city: Muhlhausen, Germany. They will be introduced by Saxonburg Mayor Jody Pflueger on Sunday.
