Tincha

Anne “Mamie” Tincha, 89, of Whitestown Road, Butler, died Monday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born in Elkhorn, W.Va., July 20, 1922, a daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Barna Zulick.

A homemaker, Mamie was active in her church and community. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora and their ladies guild.

She also was a member of the Lyndora American Legion Post 778 Ladies Auxiliary, the Greek Catholic Union and the Seven Oaks Country Club. She had volunteered at the polls, was a member of the Federation of Democratic Women, and volunteered at VA Butler Healthcare. She enjoyed golf and bowling and loved to play cards.

She was the widow of George Tincha. They were married in 1941, and he died June 15, 1976. She also was preceded in death by a son, George “Tubby” Tincha; two brothers, William and Andy Zulick Jr.; and two sisters, Julia “Pee-Wee” Bayne Reddick and Margaret McClymonds.

Surviving are three sons, Gerald Tincha (Anna Hoszwa), Gregory (Linda) Tincha and Geoffrey (Teri) Tincha, all of Butler; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter (Marlene) Zulick and John Zulick of Butler and Steve Zulick of Studio City, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Penny Zulick of Butler.

<B>TINCHA</B> — Friends of Anne “Mamie” Tincha, who died Monday, July 25, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. Her pastor, the Rev. Robert Oravetz, will officiate.
