Lutz

Arthur L. “Art” Lutz, 63, of West Sunbury passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday.

He was born April 7, 1948, in Butler County to Ruth Boyer Lutz and Clyde Lutz.

He spent most of his life in the Zelienople area. He worked for Highway Equipment for more than 30 years.

Not a day went by that he wasn't up in his garage working on vehicles or helping a friend. He was a huge fan of Fords and loved to watch NASCAR and drag racing. Art was an avid hunter and loved to be outdoors.

He was constantly busy and lived life to the fullest no matter what was thrown his way. Art also loved farming.

He was a Protestant.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Townsend Lutz; one daughter, Tasha Lutz of Renfrew; two sons, Jerry Lutz and his girlfriend, Karen, of West Sunbury and Glenn Lutz, also of West Sunbury; four grandchildren, Becky Lutz of Callery, Skylar Lutz of Renfrew, and Tyler and Jack Byer of Hopewell; one sister, Ruth Lutz of Butler; three brothers, Carl Lutz, Gene Lutz and Paul Lutz, all of Zelienople; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barb and Evelyn; and two brothers, William and Dean.

<B>LUTZ</B> — Friends of Arthur L. “Art” Lutz, who died Thursday, July 14, 2011, will be received at <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias, a retired Presbyterian minister, officiating. Burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
