Shuber

Shirley E. Shuber, 87, of Butler passed away at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

She was born Jan. 11, 1924, in Mars, to the late Ralph J. Emery and Eleanor (Patterson) Emery.

Mrs. Shuber retired from production planning at Armco, now AK Steel Corp., in 1982.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America in Butler.

Mrs. Shuber is survived by one stepdaughter, Alysia A. McGarvey of Naples, Fla.; one step-grandson, Thomas Sherman of Naples, Fla.; one sister, Elizabeth Emery of Slippery Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Shuber, who passed away Nov. 26, 2000; two brothers; and one sister.
