Red Barn Players open 'Moonlight and Magnolias'
FRANKLIN TWP, Beaver County — The Red Barn Players’ third show of the season will be the comedy “Moonlight and Magnolias” running for nine performances starting Friday.
The play tells the story of legendary film producer David Selznick who is five weeks into shooting “Gone With the Wind” when he realizes the script is awful and the director doesn’t have a clue. He has five days to replace them and restart the shoot or the production shuts down.
Performances are set for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 to 20 and 24 to 27 at the Red Barn Theatre on Ellwood-Zelienople Road, Route 228.
The show is directed by Annette Quinn of Mars.
The cast includes Paul Brenner of Brighton Township, Tom Bickert of Ellwood City, Robert Hazen of New Castle and Suzanne Sankey of North Sewickley.
