Rock

Lois Maxine Rock, 73, of Butler died Thursday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept, 12, 1937, in Chicora, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Welch.

She was a homemaker, but in the early 1960s she worked at the Castle Rubber Plant in East Butler.

She was a member of St. Michael Greek Catholic Church in Lyndora, the Highfield Community Center, and the Chosen Few bowling league at Family Lanes. She had enjoyed shopping and trips to the casino to play slot machines.

Surviving are her son, Rick Rock and his wife, Jennifer, of Tempe, Ariz.; two daughters, Rhonda Meenahan and her husband, David, of Elkridge, Md., and Karen Culp and her husband, Jeffrey, of Sicklerville, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Alexandra Hamlyn, Zachary Meenahan and Elena Rock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Rock, who she married Sept. 28, 1963, and who died Sept. 26, 2009; and one sister, Joann Markovich.

<B>ROCK</B> — There will be no visitation for Lois Maxine Rock, who died Thursday, June 30, 2011. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Greek Catholic Church, Lyndora. The Rev. Douglass Lorence will officiate.Cremation services will be provided by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, Butler.
