Eugene John 'Gino' Hunter
Eugene John “Gino” Hunter, 62, of Mars died Saturday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.
Born in Pittsburgh, Jan. 8, 1949, he was the son of the late Russell and Marie Antoinette Pusateri Hunter.
Gino was a Pennsylvania State constable. A chef, he had owned Hunter's Catering in Mars and also had been a headstone engraver for Twinbrook Memorials.
He was a member of the Mars Campus of the Dutilh United Methodist Church and belonged to the Mars Volunteer Fire Company, Adams Fire District.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of Mars VFW Post 7505 and the Mars American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Wiskeman Hunter, who he married Dec. 7, 1985; a daughter, Sara-Lynn Hunter of Mars; two sisters, Louise Wyzomirski of Shaler Township and Mary Smith (Dave) in Florida; two brothers, Frank LaMalfa (Darlene) of Gibsonia and Paul LaMalfa (Linda) of Hampton Township; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
<B>HUNTER </B>— Friends of Eugene John “Gino” Hunter, who died Saturday, June 25, 2011, will be received at the Dutilh United Methodist Church, 1270 Dutilh Road, Cranberry Township, from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday Services will follow at 5 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Debra Pisor, pastor of the Mars Campus of the Dutilh United Methodist Church, will officiate.The Hunter family requests that memorials be made to Celtic Hospice, 150 Scharberry Lane, Mars, PA 16046; or to the Mars Public Library, P.O.
