Melissa L. Christy, 37, of Hilliards passed away at 8:38 p.m. Thursday in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 24, 1973, in Pittsburgh, to the late Jerald Thomas and Beverly Jaecke.

Melissa was a Lutheran.

She enjoyed being with her family and friends. Melissa loves Mickey Mouse and going to Disney World.

She worked at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot as a nurse's aide.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Jeffrey J. Christy, who she married July 28, 1995; two sons, Daniel Christy and Shane Christy; two brothers, Michael Tambellini and William Clary, both of Pittsburgh; one sister, Karin Murray of Rochester; two nieces, Katlyn Demko and Kimberly Christy; five nephews, Keith Clary, Jordon Demko, Matthew Clary, Alan Christy and Raymond Christy.

<B>CHRISTY</B> — Friends of Melissa L. Christy, who died Thursday, June 23, 2011, will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert C. Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating.
