Ethel Bowman
Ethel Marie Bowman, 83, of Zelienople, died Thursday at the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.
Born May 10, 1928 in Wilkins Township, she was the daughter of the late John William and Ethel Marie Mains Croft.
Mrs. Bowman retired from the Penn Hills School District, where she had been a bus driver for 26 years.
She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople and St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township, where she volunteered with the White Elephant Sale. She also volunteered at the TRY Camp.
She is survived by six children, Ethel Marie Bowman-Kerlick of Harmony, Arthur Bowman (Linda) of West Sunbury, John Bowman (Judy) of Jeannette, Minnetta Bowman-Feyrer (David) of Butler, Terrance Bowman (Tammy) of Zelienople and James Bowman of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, John Croft (Dorothy) of Penn Hills; three sisters, Kate Sienerth and Jinny Bannan of New Cumberland, and Joanne Swartzlander of Wampum; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her dog and loving companion, Duke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Bowman in 1996; two sons, George and Matthew Bowman; and by one brother, William Croft.
