Tom Baumgardner is a 2011 Jefferson Award recipient.The Jefferson Awards honor individuals for their achievements and contributions to public and community service.Since retirement, Baumgardner has volunteered about 50 hours per month with the Moraine, McConnells Mill and Jennings Commission.He recently helped to organize the first Glacier Ridge Ultramarathon and coordinated a geocaching event at Moraine State Park.
