Amy and Michael MacDonald

Amy Courson of Butler and Michael MacDonald of Ellwood City were united in marriage Nov. 6 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler. The Rev. Alden Towberman officiated. A reception followed at Greystone Fields.

The bride is the daughter of Alan and Sue Courson of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Merel and Kathy MacDonald of Ellwood City.

The maid of honor was Mandy Courson of Butler. Bridesmaids included Alisha Parker of Beaver and Amanda Robbins, April Poloka and Tracy Shaffer, all of Ellwood City. The flower girl was Ava Robbins of Ellwood City.

Performing the duties of best man was Chris Ferruchie of Ellwood City. Ushers included Kevin MacDonald, Adam Robbins and Eric Boariu, all of Ellwood City, and Lee Winner of Downington, Pa. The ring bearer was Collin Lunn of Petrolia.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Butler High School and a 2009 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She is employed by Nalco in Ellwood City.

The bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Lincoln High School, in 2008 from Slippery Rock University and in 2010 from California (Pa.) University. He is employed by Nalco in Ellwood City.

Following a honeymoon trip on a Western Caribbean cruise, the couple is making their home in Ellwood City.
