Art inspired by science fiction, fantasy and comic books will be on display during the Science Fiction Show starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday in The Underground Gallery at the Associated Artists of Butler County Art Center. The show will run until July 28. Admission is $5 on opening night, which will include music.

The Science Fiction Show will begin Friday in The Underground Gallery at the Art Center of the AABC on Main Street.

The show will showcase art inspired by science fiction, fantasy, and comics. It will run until July 28.

Opening night will have music performed by local bands and will have poetry readings by William James. There will be refreshments provided.

There is a $5 cover at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and an awards ceremony for the artists will be at 7 p.m.

Upcoming shows will include the Underground Circus in August featuring art inspired by circus and alterative media. The Art of Horror returns for the seventh time in the fall showcasing horror-themed artwork.

The following bands will perform Friday night, starting at 7:30 p.m.: Reel-A-Peel, STD, Overdose on Vitamins, POVVER, William James, Amerikan Lite, Scrap Kids and Wifebeater.
