Borland, Wong
Emily Borland of San Francisco and John Lo Wong of Vallejo, Calif., were united in marriage May 28 at Marina Park in Emeryville, Calif. The Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiated. A reception followed at the Hong Kong East Ocean Restaurant.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Martha Borland of West Sunbury. The bridegroom is the son of Lourdes Wong of San Francisco.
The maid of honor was Lisl Versen of San Francisco. The groom’s sister Agnes Wong of San Francisco was a bridesmaid. The flower girl was the bride’s neice Ayana Borland of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was the groom’s brother Joseph Wong of Milbride, Calif. Brother of the bride Rob Borland of Butler served as usher.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 2000 graduate of Syracuse University. She is employed by Emily Borland Specifications, Inc., in San Francisco.
The bridegroom graduated in 1987 from St. Ignatius College Preparatory and in 1992 from the University of California at Berkeley. He is employed by Vance Brown Builders in Palo Alto, Calif.
Following a honeymoon trip this fall to South America, the couple is making their home in San Francisco.
