Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., has planned a children's Japanese brush painting classes from 2 to 3 p.m. Fridays from July 1 to 29. This program is for children in grades one through six. Cost is $13 for non-members and $10 for members. Upcoming programs include Tanabata (Japanese star watching festival) children's program at 1 p.m. Wednesday, including storytelling and decorating a bamboo tree. Cost is $5 for first child and $4 for each additional child. An introduction to Kusudama program for grownups to make a Christmas tree ornament by using Japanese paper folding is planned for noon July 7. A fee is to be determined.
