The Summer Dramatics Project will put on the musical “Annie” at 7:30 p.m. July 28, 29 and 30 and at 2 p.m. July 31 at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College. Reserved premium seats are $12 and reserved seats are $10. Tickets are available at May's Music Shoppe, 247 E. Jefferson St.

Freeport Theatre Festival will open its 22nd summer season with the world premiere of the comedy “Spotlight!” written by Louise Rockwell and directed by Marushka Steele. Opening night July 8 is sold out. Other shows start at 8 p.m. July 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and students. Unseam’d Shakespeare Company presents “Out of This Furnace” through July 2 in the Studio Theater in the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave. The play is about three generations struggling to build a life in the shadow of Carnegie’s first mill. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and at 4 p.m. Sundays, with an extra performance at 4 p.m. July 2. Tickets range from $20 to $25.
