SLIPPERY ROCK — District Judge Tim Shaffer recently heard these cases:
Joseph William Paul, 38, of Slippery Rock waived to court charges of theft by unlawful taking, property damage and criminal solicitation, filed Feb. 22 by state police.
James Melvin Shoup III, 47, of Slippery Rock waived to court charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, filed June 4 by state police.
Ashley Ann Bair, 21, of Aliquippa waived to court charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and disregarding traffic lanes, filed March 21 by Slippery Rock police.
Steven Paul McGinty, 21, of Butler waived to court charges of DUI and disregarding traffic lanes, filed March 22 by state police.
Samuel Lee Coast, 21, of Jackson Center waived to court charges of DUI, reckless driving and driving without insurance, filed March 29 by Slippery Rock police.
Douglass David Rees, 21, of Crescent waived to court charges of DUI, underage drinking, careless driving and driving on the sidewalk, filed April 12 by Slippery Rock police.
Mike Vogel, no age given, of Cambridge Springs was held for court on charges of passing bad checks, filed April 27.
Gabriel Serafin, 20, of Warriors Mark, Pa., waived to court charges of DUI, underage drinking and accident damage to an unattended vehicle or property, filed March 3 by Slippery Rock police.

He was charged April 28 by Zelienople police with driving under the influence of alcohol.Joshua D. Gould, 26, of Portersville waived his case to court. He was charged May 3 by Jackson Township police with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.Michael Grant Burns, 23, of Cranberry Township waived his case to court. He was charged April 7 by Adams Township police with driving under the influence of alcohol.Emily Jean Miller, 19, of Glenshaw waived her case to court. She was charged May 11 by Zelienople police with possession of drug paraphernalia.Joann Kelly Mavilla, 52, of West Sunbury had her case held for court. She was charged April 5 by the state police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.Garret Paul Bordas, 19, of Glenshaw waived his case to court.
