Saxonburg Artists recognize student

Jeana Mobley from Valley High School won a $500 Scholarship Award for Exceptional Achievement in Art from the Saxonburg Area Artists Cooperative. The second annual high school exhibit continues through May 28.

SAXONBURG — Saxonburg Area Artists Cooperative is hosting its second annual high school senior art exhibit through May 28 at the gallery at 215 Main St., Rear.

Six school districts are participating. Each district is represented by two students, each exhibiting two pieces of their work. Participants from Knoch High School are Jenna Morrow and Jessica Smith. Their instructors are Christi and Mark Weleski.

A $500 Scholarship Award for Exceptional Achievement in Art was presented to Jeana Mobley from Valley High School.

Summer gallery hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, 1 to 9 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays. Other times are by appointment. Call 412-260-5779, 724-352-1759 or 412-849-4648.
