Jeremiah Burkert and Tasha Mehelich

A July 7, 2012, wedding is being planned by Tasha Mehelich of Butler and Jeremiah Burkert of Chicora.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Richard and Alejandra (Lilly) Benlot Mehelich of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Jeffrey and Lynn Hoover Burkert of Chicora.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Butler High School and a 2010 graduate of Indiana (Pa.) University, where she received a bachelor’s in criminology with a minor in child development. She is employed by Family Behavioral Resource in Ford City.

Her fiance graduated in 2003 from Butler High School. He is employed by Point Security at Butler Hospital.
