Donald Boben Sr.
Donald J. Boben Sr., 78, of West Sunbury passed away at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 28, 1932, in Claytonia, he was the son of the late John Boben and the late Pauline (Jerman) Boben.
Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.
He attended the Claytonia Church of Nazarene.
He retired in 1996 as a brick layer for Local 9.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Joyce (Hoff) Boben, who he married Aug. 29, 1959; two daughters, Joyce (Robert) Brehm of West Sunbury and Colleen DiMaria of West Sunbury; three sons, Donald Boben Jr., Kevin Boben and Eric (Carla) Boben, all of West Sunbury; nine grandchildren, Kevin Boben, Morgan Boben, Robert Brehm, Ashley Brehm, Alycia Brehm, Tyler DiMaria, Mitch DiMaria, Sydney Boben and Derek Boben; three brothers, Harry (Helen) Boben of Butler, Paul (Joanne) Boben of Slippery Rock and Kenneth “Mike” Boben of Zelienople.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
<B>BOBEN</B> — Friends of Donald J. Boben Sr., who died Friday, March 18, 2011, will be received Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Claytonia Church of Nazarene with the Rev. Tim Britton officiating.Burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
