Allen Lamont Hook, 95, of Cabot passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born Feb. 12, 1916, in Knox, he was the son of Henry and Edna Amsler Hook.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in China, Burma and India.

He was a head teller for Union National Bank in Butler, retiring in 1981 after 35 years.

He was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, the Saxonburg American Legion Post 683, the Saxonburg VFW Post 7376, the 14th Air Force Association, the Saxonburg Golden Agers and the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company.

He was the loving husband of Bernice Wagner Hook, who he married Dec. 3, 1942; beloved father of Thomas Henry Hook of Saxonburg, Ronald Allen (Leslie Singer) Hook of Madison, Conn., Marjorie Louise (Roy) Cuellar of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Kathryn Eileen (Mark) Shell of Roanoke, Va.; brother of John (Vivian) Hook of Elyria, Ohio, and Ronald (Virginia) Hook of Knox. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Steven, Matthew, Megan, Melina, Andrew, Megan, Tyler and Tim; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Claire.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

<B>HOOK</B> — Friends of Allen Lamont Hook, who died Saturday, March 12, 2011, were received Sunday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg and were received today from 10 to 11 a.m. at the St. Luke Church in Cabot, where services followed at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen and the Rev. Jason Hoerth officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road Cabot, PA 16023.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
