The reception for the Slippery Rock University Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Exhibition takes place tonight at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.

The show includes work by artists Brittney Fairchild, Bethany Abt, Corrie Haight, Emily Edwards and Jacob Savisky.

Meet the artists tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Elsewhere at The Art Center, the Underground Gallery will première the annual photography show on Friday. This third show of the Underground Gallery’s 2011 season features photography from nine artists who entered 29 pieces. Local bands will be playing live for the event. The bands, in order of appearance, are: Ninjas Eat Their Notes, Suicide Success Story, The Peter Brady Love Connection, Kamikabe, Little Boy Fat Man and The Purple Hippos.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. Cover charge is $5.

The photography show runs through May 6.
