Chemical collection sites, days announced
Butler County residents will have the chance to safely and cost effectively dispose of chemicals in their homes.
The Pennsylvania Resources Council and its partners are sponsoring a series of drop-off collections in Allegheny, Armstrong, Venango, and Beaver counties.
The first collection will be May 7 at North Park swimming pool parking lot in Allegheny County.
Another collection will be June 18 at the Wal-Mart in East Franklin Township in Armstrong County.
Examples of household chemicals include cleaners, paints, stains and varnishes, and car batteries.
Individuals dropping off waste materials at the collection events will pay a fee of $2.
