GROVE CITY — Grove City High School will present the musical “Annie Get Your Gun” at 7 p.m. April 7 through 9 at the school auditorium, 511 Highland Ave.

Tickets will be sold for $7 or $5 for students and seniors. No presale tickets are available. For more information, call the school at 724-458-5456.

With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, the musical is based on the book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields as revised by Peter Stone.

The story centers on Annie Oakley, who quickly falls in love with the sharpshooter Frank Butler when Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show comes to town.

Annie, an amazing sharpshooter herself, joins the show so she can win Frank. Unfortunately for Annie, Frank wants a more feminine woman and not a tomboy, gun-toting dame. Further, the fact that she can shoot better than Frank makes her his enemy.

The show is being directed by Patrick McElroy, with David Barron as music director and orchestra conductor. Set design will be done by McElroy, with Ashley Hazy as choreographer, Katie Calano as costume and art designer and Byron Miller as art designer.

Student directors are Caroline Wilson and Julia Miklos. Student technical director is Caroline Wilson. Samantha Andrews and Max Chomas are stage managers.
