Eagle names 2 new dept. chiefs
The Butler Eagle has two new department heads to help produce the daily newspaper and its other publications.
Deanna Gerstner is the composing room foreman. She has been the assistant foreman, and she has been a full-time employee at the Eagle since 1992.
As foreman, she oversees the production of the advertisements and newspaper pages before they are sent to the press.
In 2005 she earned an associates degree in computer information systems from Butler County Community College.
Gerstner lives in Butler Township with her husband, George, their niece, Justine, and great-niece, Adelaide.
Their daughter and her husband, Natalie and Jonathan McKay, live in Butler.
Brad Susen is the new press room foreman. He lives in Pulaski, Lawrence County.He is in charge of press operations for the newspaper and the commercial printing at the Eagle Production Center on West Wayne Street.He had been the production director and plant manager for West Penn Printing in New Castle since 2003.He has patented a device for color registration on presses.Also in the past, Susen worked for Dauphin Graphic Machines in Elizabeth, Pa., and oversaw the press operation at the newspaper in Eau Claire, Wis.The Wisconsin native is married and has four children.He has 26 years of experience in the printing industry.
