The Rotary Club of Butler held a special recognition dinner March 14 at the Runway Restaurant in Penn Township to celebrate several member milestones. Eighty-five members and guests of the Rotary Club of Butler, the Butler AM Rotary Club, and Rotary District 7280 attended.

A going-away celebration honored

Peter Richdale, who relocated from Butler to New Jersey with his wife, Jody, to be near family. A 22-year Rotary member, Richdale served as secretary for the Rotary Club of Butler and the surrounding Rotary District 7280.The following individuals were honored for 50 or more years of membership:

Richard J. Miller, inducted Nov. 11, 1960;

William G Douthett III, inducted Feb. 25, 1957; and

Robert E. Mikan, inducted Sept. 22, 1954.The following individuals were named Paul Harris Fellows, a distinction bestowed on donors of $1,000 or more to Rotary International’s humanitarian programs or to people who have that amount contributed in their name:

Craig Diehl,

Lisa and Larry Sommers,

Jeff Howard,

Carole Toubakaris,

Judy Zechman and

Cathy Glasgow.Also honored were

Pat Green and

Paul Zechman, as “Paul Harris plus ones,” representing a $2,000 donation to the Rotary’s humanitarian programs, and
