What: Boys Class AAAA first-round playoff.•

They have three or four guys who either didn't play in that game or have totally different roles now. Their three 6-foot-5 guys (Dominic Sansone, Joe Gnacinski, Mike Knoll) take up a lot of space inside and they're good. ... North East netted more than 160 3-pointers this season, including three players, Wakely, Bailey and Johnson, with more than 30 apiece. ... The Knights were the sixth seed out of the WPIAL. ... Summit Academy overcame a 1-4 start before winning 13 of the next 15 games on the way to the section title.•

Coach McCray says: “As a staff, we take pride in showing respect to our opponents and research what we can. North East likes to take a lot of outside shots. They shoot a lot of 3s and we have to contest that. They're not tall but they show a lot of heart. The use a dribble-drive offense. They look to kick it out and knock their shots down. The last few games, they've taken fewer attempts, but they are a well-coached team.”
