Lucille Skrak was presented the 2010 Realtor of the Year award during the Butler County Association of Realtors' 14th annual Circle of Excellence banquet Feb. 17 at the Atrium in Prospect.Skrak, with Northwood Realty, was presented the award by BCAR President

Russ Greer of Prudential Preferred Realty in Butler.

<B>Todd Schubert </B>was presented<B> </B>the 2010 Rookie of The Year award by V<B>eronica Minke</B>. Both are from Northwood Realty in Butler.———

The Allstate Foundation Agency Hands in the Community $1,000 grant was awarded to the Butler County Family YMCA by Harmony-based Allstate Exclusive Agent <B>Paul Blinn</B>. Accepting the grant were <B>Dave Hilliard</B>, executive director, Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA, <B>Frank Cicco Jr. </B>and <B>Mike Stack,</B> co-chairs of the 2011 Strong Kids Campaign, and <B>Lisa Connelly</B>, development director, Butler County Family YMCA.———

Toastmasters Early Birds Club 2255 held its International Speech and Evaluation Contest Feb. 26.<B>Beth Ann Harvey </B>of Chicora, <B>Walter J. Smith</B> of Butler, <B>Rob Olszewski</B> of Gibsonia and <B>Craig Pfister </B>of Prospect participated in both contests.Smith placed first in both speech and evaluation and Harvey placed second in each contest.Smith will represent the club March 10 at the area contest at Lifesteps Sterling Village board room.———

<B>Leila Cenk</B>, 7, of Richland Township, was the Judges' Choice winner in the 2011 Kean Idol Amateur Dance Contest held Feb. 27 at the Kean Theatre.She competed against 12 other contestants to receive a portrait session, a $100 savings bond, a story in Northern Connection magazine and the 2011 Kean Idol trophy. She performed a lyrical routine to “Papa, Can You Hear Me?”Also receiving recognition at the contest were: second runner-up, trio of <B>Aubrie Knapp</B> of Pine Township, <B>Paige Stitt</B> of Hampton Township and <B>Teegan Zeh </B>of Hampton Township; first runner-up, <B>Taylor Prezel </B>of North Strabane Township; audience choice winner, tie between trio of Knapp, Stitt and Zeh and <B>MaKaylee Rogers </B>of Moon Township.———
