Obringer Sr.

Kenneth A. Obringer Sr., 65, of Buffalo Township passed away at 10:40 a.m. Saturday at his home while in the company of family members.

Kenneth was born in Natrona Heights, July 29, 1945, the son of the late George A. and Helen M. (Reedy) Obringer.

He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights.

He was a crane repairman in Department 8-3 at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge for 34 years, retiring in 2008.

Ken loved working and farming his family farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering around the house.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beryl J. (Kokenda) Obringer; his two sons, Kenneth A. (Jeannie) Obringer Jr. of Freeport and Nicholaus (Laura) Obringer of Buffalo Township; his daughter, Julia Obringer of Natrona Heights; his brother, G. Dale (Barbara) Obringer of Freeport; a sister, Rosalie (Lawrence) Coy of Seward, Westmoreland County; and his cousin and best friend, Adam Gale Obringer of Buffalo Township. Ken also is survived by eight grandchildren, Lauren, Courtney, Emily, Alyssa, Paige, Samantha, Grace and Darius Obringer.

<B>OBRINGER</B> — Family and friends of Kenneth A. Obringer Sr., who died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, are being received today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the <B>REDMOND FUNERAL HOME</B>, 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Barbara Ravenstahl, S.A.M., officiating.
