Erma M. Rummel
Erma M. Rummel, 84, of Cabot passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 24, 1926, in Cabot, she was the daughter of Elmer and Frieda (Zeisler) Montag.
Erma was a graduate of Butler High School.
She was a dedicated wife, homemaker and secretary.
She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, where she was active in the Altar Guild and the church choir.
Erma enjoyed gardening, traveling, baking and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, Alvin Rummel of Cabot; her children, Arlin (Monica) Rummel of Cabot, Marlene (Henry) DuBois of Elmer, N.J., Nancy (Roger) Early of Sarver, Sam (Didi) Rummel of Savannah, Ga., Jim Rummel of Cabot and Steve (Missy) Rummel of Sarver; her sister, Anna Doerr of Cabot; her brother, Allen Montag of Florida; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren with two on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Norma Patterson, and one grandson.
<B>RUMMEL</B> — Friends of Erma M. Rummel, who died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Additional visitation will be at St. Luke Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, where the funeral service will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
