• Mark Smith ranks ninth on Butler's all-time boys scoring list with 839 points and 12th on Grove City College's men's scoring list with 1,171.
• His wife, Jody Imbrie Smith, ranks fifth on Butler's all-time girls scoring list with 1,252 points and first on Grove City College's women's scoring list with 2,288.
• Their oldest daughter, Kara, scored 975 points in high school in Georgia.
• Their son, Erik, played basketball until his sophomore year in high school before switching to lacrosse.
• Their youngest daughter, Kylee, a sophomore at Alpharetta (Ga.) High, already has scored more than 1,000 points and is being recruited by top Division I schools.
• Mark's sister, Joan Hetherington, has a son, Tim, playing in high school in Charlotte, N.C.
• Bob Smith, Mark's brother, was a two-year starter at Butler and averaged 10 points per game his senior season.
• Bob Smith's oldest son, Matt, is a junior and starter at Seneca Valley. He sank 21 3-pointers this season and scored a career-high 21 points in a game.
• Bob Smith's other three sons, freshman Michael, seventh-grader Mark and fourth-grader Luke, all play in the Seneca Valley district.
