Sarvey Sr.

Albert A. Sarvey Sr., 63, of Butler passed away Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Jan. 5, 1948, in Butler, the son of the late Ralph Lewis and Beulah Irene (Aggas) Sarvey.

Albert was a veteran of the U.S. Army of the Vietnam War and was a member of the National Guard.

He enjoyed hunting, camping and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a Baptist.

Albert retired from VA Butler Healthcare in 2005 after 39 years.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon L. (Queen) Sarvey, who he married April 13, 1968; a daughter, Stacey (Kevin) Angert of Fenelton; two sons, Albert A. (Barb) Sarvey Jr. and Dale (Ruth) Sarvey, all of Butler; five granddaughters, Amber, Hannah, Allie, Maggie and Kayla; a grandson, Austin; a sister, Glenna (Bob) Weichey of Butler; and four brothers, Kenneth (Donna) Sarvey, Raymond (Dee) Sarvey, Ralph Sarvey and Dean (Elsie) Sarvey, all of Butler.

He also was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

<B>SARVEY</B> — Friends of Albert A. Sarvey Sr., who died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bob Huber officiating.
