Deena and Casey Schaal

Deena Spahn of Butler and Casey Schaal of Monroeville were united in marriage July 31 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman. The Rev. Ward Stakem, O.F.M. Cap., officiated. A reception followed at the Futules’ Harmar House.

The bride is the daughter of Debbie and Dean Spahn of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Rockina and Dennis Schaal of Monroeville.

The matron of honor was Lynn (Isovitsch) Fetters of Clearwater, Fla. Bridesmaids included Jenna (Bayer) Reeder of Butler, Shanna Saggese of Cleveland, Amy Turner of Lucinda, Pa., Amy Daugherty of New Castle and Jennifer (Strathen) Stiglitz of Cranberry Township.

Performing the duties of best man was Jeffrey A. Beatty of Robinson. Ushers included Michael Berger of Penn Hills, Richard Dowd of Zelienople, Derek Spahn of Butler, Jeffrey Goga of Monroeville and Jodan Belcher of Monroeville.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2006 graduate of Clarion University. She is employed as a speech language pathologist in the Armstrong School District in Ford City.

The bridegroom graduated in 2001 from Gateway High School and in 2005 from Duquesne University. He is employed as a benefits analyst at United States Steel Corporation in Pittsburgh.

Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Lower Burrell.
