Phyllis M. Hood
Phyllis M. (Henry) Hood, 72, of Richland Township, formerly Cherry Tree, passed away Friday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Born June 26, 1938, in Cherry Tree, she was the daughter of the late Ord. and Wilda Mae (Black) Henry.
Phyllis was past owner of the Bakerstown Bakery, worked for many years at Kmart on Route 8 and was active with the Red Hat Society. She loved bowling, golfing, and attending art festivals.
She was the beloved wife for 53 years of Thomas L. Hood, who she married on May 25, 1957. She was the loving mother of Sharon (Bill) Sado of Grafton, Ohio, Wade L. (Fredrica) Hood of Butler, and Martin E. (Tammy) Hood of Venango. She was the sister of Emma Ruth Henry of Clymer, Alice Bentz of Aliquipa, Harold Henry of California, Roger (Linda) Henry of California and Chester (Lois) Henry of Green Tree. She also is survived by eight step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
