Dorothy Marie “Babe” Gallaher, 89, of Concordia Lutheran Home, Cabot, died Friday in the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

Born Sept. 4, 1921, in Summit Township, she was the daughter of Clayton O. Shields and Lena G. Snyder, who are deceased.

Mrs. Gallaher was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Gallaher is survived by her brother, John A. Shields and his wife, Betty, of East Butler; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Sarvey of Butler, Mrs. Earl (Lena) Sarvey of Renfrew and Mrs. Claude (Joan) Filges of Butler, and by 11 nieces and 10 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard K. Gallaher, who died Dec. 14, 1994, and by three brothers and two sisters.
