William W. Bowser

William W. Bowser, 80, of Worthington passed away Friday at his home.

He was born Oct. 12, 1930 in Kittanning to Spurgeon and Florence Campbell Bowser.

He retired from Pullman Standard.

He attended the Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed camping at Cook's Forest and at his camp in Slippery Rock, taking Carnival cruises and eating breakfast at the Valley Dairy in Kittanning every morning.

He is survived by three daughters, Cynthia J. Burke and her husband, Ken, of Florida, Sally A. Kirkwood and her husband, Woody, of Kittanning, and Marty Stewart of East Brady; three sons, William D. Bowser and his wife, Patti, of Butler, Kenneth W. Bowser of Ohio, and Mark L. Bowser of Kittanning; one sister, Jean Davis and her husband, Arnold, of Cowansville; one brother, Robert K. Bowser and his wife, Esther, of Kittanning; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jaunita “Jean” Bowser, who passed away Jan. 31, 2007; one daughter, Michele Jean McMillen, and one great-granddaughter, Zoe Grant.

<B>BOWSER</B> — Friends of William W. Bowser, who died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the <B>F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home</B> in Worthington. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lawrence Camberg officiating.
