Kelly A. Stewart, 44, of Chicora died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at her home following an illness.

She was born in Butler April 14, 1966, the daughter of Janet L. Umstead Slater and the late Robert B. Slater.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Richard D. Stewart, who she married: April 14, 2000; a son, Kristopher B. Johns of Karns City; her mother, Janet L. Umstead Slater of Chicora; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ernest P. and Florence Umstead; her paternal grandparents, Clayton J. and Clara Jane Slater; and her uncle and aunt, Jack and Rebecca Hetrick.

<B>STEWART</B> — At the request of Kelly A. Stewart, who died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, there will be no viewing or visitation.
